Ilde has the beauty of a fairytale princess. A full figure, long blonde hair, blue eyes, button nose, and a charmingly imperfect smile (not that she smiles much).

Ilde is a restrained and polite young woman. She is not very outwardly expressive, which may give an aloof impression. Or it might exude peace to those who need it. While a bit difficult to engage initially, she is very devoted to those with a little patience.

Gardening is her life and she takes a great deal of pleasure in sharing the produce from her garden.

While an inmate, she began to develop a stronger sense of self, but is still quite new to the idea of having agency and impact on the world around her. Thus, she treads carefully and observes thoughtfully before she acts. She is curious about the experiences of others and the worlds they have come from, and is an engaged listener to anyone who decides to share with her. She is a compassionate confidante.

Much of her more toxic traits have eased, but she retains a manipulative streak. Luckily, she is mostly moved to manipulate stubborn people into realizing their own best interests on the Barge. She is not quick to anger, but her anger is very fiery and sometimes vengeful. She's managed not to act on it, so far.

She retains some psychic damage from her time in the Godking's court and is vulnerable to magic that invokes chaos and madness. She does sometimes forget the progress she has made and falls back into prior delusion. However, each episode is a little less intense and her recovery is quicker.

Ilde was conscripted into the religion of a mad king. Godking Dreus, deluded by his own insanity, believes that the world has become too impure and must be destroyed so that the souls of the people can live free of impurity. He declares that Ilde is the saint who must die alongside him in order to purify them all. While they await the rapidly approaching day of apocalypse, Ilde works in a magic garden tucked away in the cliff beneath the palace. The magic there and Dreus's obsession for her has a certain feverish quality which easily pulls her into the delusion. She dies on the last day, hoping fervently that Dreus is not just a madman and that this will mean something.

Reborn on the Barge, she continued to puzzle her way through reconstruction.

Her road to graduation involved accepting the lies and fallibility of her former god, embracing her own agency and self-expression, connecting with others, and once again finding the will to live. What she needed most was to have nothing asked of her and to just be allowed to live for herself. Her warden, Xigbar, luckily was in no mood to rush her and allowed her to flourish at her own pace, while also enlightening her with stories about many different peoples and worlds.
